London inspired Salt beef on the specials this week 🇬🇧

ℹ️ One of my favourite things to eat, originally salted as a form of preservation for the navy, salt beef has a unique firm texture after being braised for hours in stock so it falls apart tender, with a bright pink colour from the curing salt.

We have decided to bring the positivity and good vibes ourselves with live music from the fantastic - The Edgar Macías Latin Quintet 🎷 🎹 🎸

Our pizza kitchen will be open along side our bar with tables in the Mews as we have permission from the shops to use the shopping alley as an extension of the cafe for this event.

@winnienolive will be making festival flower crowns to add to atmosphere and the rest of the shops will be in full flow as usual. 🌺

We need your support massively as this cancelled festival has caused all traders in kinver loss of trade on what is a weekend we would normally rely on.

➖The Edgar Macías Latin Quintet ➖

UK-based Venezuelan pianist Edgar Macías has established himself as a sought-after pianist in a variety of musical styles, from jazz to salsa.

His vast and impressive cv includes work with the likes of Wynton Marsalis, David Murray, Scott Hamilton, Bobby Wellins, Tito Gómez (Fania All-Stars), among others.

Edgar’s Latin Jazz Quintet, that features saxophonist Chris Bowden (UK), bassist Tom Hill (USA), drummer Miles Levin (UK) and percussionist Richard Sealy (Barbados & UK) blends an eclectic combination of music, with styles such as hard bop, funk, jazz, latin jazz, brazilian, salsa and Venezuelan music. In the last few years he has been concentrating more in the Latin Jazz side for his quintet, which has recently been playing the music from Buena Vista Social Club’s debut album adapted for his quintet configuration, in celebration of this album / recordings 25th Anniversary last year. And also in a new venture, a Small Combo Salsa Band that features Salsa Music from its roots, then its beginnings, back in the late 60’s, through the peak of Salsa during the 70’s with the “Salsa Brava”, and then more contemporary Salsa music, inspired by composers and interpreters such as Cachao, Joe Cuba, Eddie Palmieri, Ray Barretto, Oscar D’León, Poncho Sánchez, Buena Vista Social Club, among others.
